Air Quality at Gym

This has happened with me a few times over the last couple of years, but most recently last night....I walked into the Rec center at the University here and the air was so thick and heavy that I was actually telling myself it was going to be hard to breathe well during a workout - and it was! The place wasn't busy - it wasn't the sweat/body oder/disinfectant gym smells ...just the general air quality inside the building was really stifling.

I really try to concentrate on breathing anyway - I've had a tendancy (and I'm probably not alone) of discovering in the past that I want to instinctively HOLD my breath for those last heavy efforts, so I've tried to re-educate myself as it is...but that wasn't the issue last night at all.

I went over to do a set of squats and had to grab a support bar - I felt a dizziness come over me before I did a set - and wasn't still recovering from the last sets on a machine...and wasn't breathing hard. It took me a couple of minutes to steady myself - get some more water in me and I took a rest before going back.

Has anyone else walked into their gym and felt the air quality affecting their strength and/or workout drastically? Any tips on how to handle it better or work around that...?

Oh and odors are solid particals. That will make ya hold your breath.

If it is lost he finds it
If it is in his way he moves it
If it is sunk he brings it up

And with any luck he will die 100 feet below the surface of the waves, because that is the closest he will ever become to being a hero.
