ive heard that when you train for years you recover slower. well i also hear that nutrition is important to recover FASTER, which im confused with. i only train 1 bodypart a week so what good does recovering faster do? im just not understanding why its important to recover fast.

If you dont recover and you work that bodypart again you are backpeddling.

my point is that why is it necessary to recover FAST. im sure everyone recovers but why do some people want to recover FASTER. that is my question, if im only training one body part a week why is it better to recover in 3 days instead of 4?

If you could recover a day earlier then you could train that bodypart more frequently. Lets say you move to a 5 on 1 off instead of a 6 on 1 off.

This allows approximately 8/9 more workouts of that bodypart during the year, not a big deal, but its something.

61 workout cycles per year instead of 52, not counting any 1 week periods you may take off.

Over years that adds up. You recover slower as you get older.
