    Upper Back Problems

Whenever i put alot of weight down on my shoulders i seem to have some pain in my upper back. (Example: Doing heavy squats and standing machine calf raises) Why is this? And does anyone else have this problem?

    Wrong forum brother...

But to help you out, how is your spinal alignment when you are doing this? Is your head forward? This will put a lot of pressure on your cervical spine and cause pain.
Today I can do what others will not so that tomorrow I will do what others cannot.

The difference between winners and losers is that winners do things that losers don't want to do.

I'm curious - do any of you get like strange little cuts on your upper back/shoulders when doing squats? They don't like bleed but they are like long red lines like scracthes.

Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
    blood stream.

do you use a pad? if not have you tried one?

have you tried placing the weight higher or lower than you currently do?

do you only feel this pain when you place weight/bar on your back?

does the pain persist after the weight is removed?

lol....you guys. those are just stress marks from the weight.

If you use the standing calve machine for shrugs you'll also notice having these lines..maybe not right after you're done. But by the next day. Don't worry about it.
