Hey - Anybody own/use these things? How are they? Worth getting for home use?

Anyone have a set? Are they worth it or not? I am thinking of getting these or the bowflex DB set that only goes to 50lbs. Either way I want to save space on the lower end DB's.

Buy adjustable DBs. With the money you save, you could probably buy half of another home gym. Seriously though, I'd invest in adjustable DBs (olympic size if you can find them).

Definitely go with the adjustable dumbells; I think they either come out as being equal or cheaper in price, and they are helluva convenient... If I had more money at the moment I would definitely buy some for my home gym.

I mean the adjustable ones that you just add weights to; I believe he's talking about the expensive sets you can buy for which you can simply select a weight and use it. I think it's well worth the extra time to save so much money with the old-fashioned adjustables personally. Oh, and there's no limit to the weight you can use, really.

^ This is true. I dont think ive ever heard of a dumbell actually snapping or bending from too much weight.

Ah true, that's what I was talking about too, just realized that you weren't lol.

I have a cheap set of regular adjustable dumbells and they are such a piece of shit; I don't trust the collars at all and it is a real pain in the ass, more so than you would think, putting the plates on each side, etc.

I am still for getting the quick change adjustable dumbells, they may be a little more and only go up to a certain amount of weight, but the convenience is really nice.

And comparing it to getting regular dumbells, like two of each five pound increment, it is either very close or even cheaper to get the quick change ones.
