I'm not so egotistical that I can't ask for help / advice from you guys!
I've been training for a few yrs, and I look pretty good, but I want to get INSANE kind of intense now!! I wanna go that extra mile that'll separate me from the other "good" bodybuilders!
For several months I've been doing ONE full body routine every friday afternoon, and getting fine results. I do have a few different splits in mind, but I wanted to "poll" you guys and see if you had any better ideas!
Right now I'm about 195 lbs 5'10" 11%bf or so.
My eventual goal is to be a single digit BF% at about 200!!!
I plan on just eating a TON of clean food, and training as much as I can without comprimising my recovery ability (34 yrs old). My toughest task is staying OUT of the gym!! I LOVE to train, but I know I need the down time to recover! It seems that I get exraordinarily sore.....my traps are still EXTREMELY sore from fridays shrugs (3 SETS) !! My hams are sometimes sore for OVER a week! Any supplement ideas for increased recovery ability?
I know most of you are probably sick as hell of seeing my ugly mug, but I'm posting them again for the benefit of the newer folks.
Thx in advance

If your getting those kind of results from a once a week full body routine, I think you'll definitely benefit from a 3-4 day a week split. I could never get up the energy to do a serious full body routine. As for recovery, I like ZMA and a post workout shake to restore my muscle glycogen. I just started with the post workout shake so I cant tell you the results. There's a thread on post workout nutrition where we worked out a formula. The theory is pretty sound and a hell of alot cheaper than Cell-Tech or Surge. Go For It.
Were those pictures taken in the warden's office? Just kidding. Don't wanna piss off the Big D.
Well if you want to get the big insane gym trip so you become large it's all about motivation. Set a goal and go after it. You can also hire a motivational speaker like Chris Farley: "If you don't workout intensely, you'll be livin' in a van..down by the river!!" A little Androsol and Tribex also helps get the blood pumping.
Looks like you are doing pretty good. Recovery ability is a tricky thing, I believe that the best thing is rest (i.e. sleep a good amount). I vouch for ZMA also. I stopped taking ZMA for a while and my calves have never been so sore for so long after the last two weeks and I didn't do anything out of the ordinary except run out of ZMA.
Good luck!

Lift well! But don't forget to put it down afterwards.
Another thought, I use soreness as a guide to whether I am over training. I personal think getting sore is a good thing. I used to over train and would get to where I wouldn't be sore and eventually start going backwards. Also are you doing Olympic style training? Just curious.
