I shudder to think how much suspension that guy is running, probably injecting 5 times a day

It was not long ago that 820 was the top bench.

That doesn't look like 900 lbs loaded on the bar. It's hard to tell on the video, but it appears to be 4 - 45's and a single 100 pounder, plus a 25 on each side. If so, thats closer to 700 lbs.

    Prince, who is that?

Those guys dont use 45s hardly ever, anything in a meet will start at 100 pounds. Many guys doing 400+ deadlifts are only doing two plates.

LOL, he's a powerlifter his only concern is strength.

you have to respect the amount of weight these guys move, not how their physiques look.

He was wearing a double ply poly open back shirt. But each ply was double thickness (this is a special edition to fit the rules of organizations that require one ply no matter the thickness and not double ply).
So in effect he was wearing a quadruple ply Phenom shirt.Single ply gives 100 lbs so quadruple gives 250+.
Anything that would make 900 pounds difficult to touch to your chest is giving enough help to constitute this a ridiculous sport.
I can't think of a single logical reason that someone would want to bench 900 in this fashion and not a solid raw 700 (other than being caught in the numbers game)..
    This has gone too far.

Haha, good description. It's true too.

A good set of shirts will throw on 150-200 pounds, some guy who did I believe 825 was only doing 647 shirtless.

same concept as wearing knee wraps, it produces a spring-like effect in the chest/shoulders, they usually require two to three people just to get it on.
