Oh No Forearm's a bit sore

Ok..recently while and shortly after doing my fav. bicep workout (21's) or any bicep excercise for that matter i develop some sharp pains in the underside part of my forearms near my elbows while curling a bar or a dumbell in any position (seated, lying down, incline) I'm almost positive my form is correct. I give the foreams a curl when the weights are coming up towards my chin. Its wierd because ONLY bicep excercises are the problem and the pain is only there during the excercise and only for a short time after. I havent done any bicep excercises for a couple of days so i wont make matters worse. Lastly my bicep excercise consists of 21's, hammer curls and preacher curls and I do biceps once and sometimes 2 times a week (depending on recovery)

Thanks for everyones time..

How weak are your forearms? Could be they are getting a workout too depending on the weight you are using. Otherwise, .

Tendonitis

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

^^^ quite possibly

i had this same problem about 2 weeks ago... i was at work when i felt the inside of my elbow starting to become rather sore... it didn't feel like my muscles were sore as much as it did my joints... i didn't think much of it though until i trained that night... by the end of my work out it was REALLY sore... the next day it didn't feel too bad so i went to the gym and got the same thing, by the end of my work out it had become sore again... i took a couple days off, went back, same thing... not as bad as the previous 2 times but still sore enough to keep me from training any longer... that's when i said screw it and i took about 5-6 days off and just got back on monday and now it feels fine...

can anybody hook up some more info on tendonitis?

thanks

For treatment the best thing to take is 4 ibuprofen and 2 extra strength tylenol every 6 hours. Gotta get the inflammation to go down. Laying off the weights for awhile is ideal, but I know not always practical. So when it's inflamed I suggest higher rep exercises and avoid exercises that hurt your forearm. Usually different for everyone. For me they are upright rows, BB curls, Preacher curls, sometimes pull-ups, french press and dips.

Doing an adequate warm-up with your arm will help a bit, and slowly controlling your weight! But once it's inflamed you gotta rest it and take NSAIDS to get the swelling down.
