Im not as strong as I look

Damn I wrote this down so many time, : Im 19yr. old, 215pounds,
around 5'10 and around 20% bf. , I have big shoulders and a big chest, my arms could use a little works but they are getting there, I am stronger than any of my friends and when I walk into a club with a tight shirt I turn a lot of heads but really the problem is that for my size I think I schould be a lot stronger, for EXAMPLE when i train by biceps i usually do a 45lbs Db. 3sets and 10 reps.... etc..... I dont know about you guys but bodybuilding can be FUCKING frustraiting but im not giving up untill i die.... send ur opinions please...!!!!!!!!

this thread is funny....kinda reminds me of the one in the anabolics thread where the guy was mad because everyone asked him if he was taking steroids...

you say you are 215lbs but your BF is so high that if you cut down, you would be much smaller. You could cut to 185 and still be over 12%. I think you are looking to hard at the weight, it can be decieving man. Besides everyones strength level is different. My best friend doesn't have my thickness but he is stronger than me by leaps and bounds and I outweight him by 15 lbs. It is all genetic, don't let it stress you. BB is an individual sport. There will always be someone better than you at everything.

I look stronger than I am... I have certain parts that are developed that give the impression I'm overall bigger than i am... I am pretty low BF... about 10% but I have strong shoulders and ok bicepts, but my chest and lats are so underdeveloped it really hurts me in certain exercises... oh well, I guess all you can do is keep working...
    Are you kidding me????

    What is your goal?

Personally I do not care about my strength, my goal is size and shape (bodybuilding). I probably look stronger than I am too.

Yeah I'm right there... I'm looking like pop-eye. I'm a tiny-boned ectomorph whose arms are starting to look like pop-eye, but I'm basically flat chested, regardless of what exercises I do, or how much I eat.

Frustrating is only a WORD. Reality is much, much worse.

Now the problem is the smack talk that happens behind your back from people who cant seem to grow any longer due to poor training and eating routines

Thank you guys for replys, i gues im not the only one, it's just than I am a big guy and I workout hard but then there is that skinny guy next to me who can lift more...... I agree with PRINCE I do wanna ad mass and looks huge (bodybuilding) but it is kind of eating me up inside because i worry about it to much if i am strong or not............. i know people tell me all the time how big i am and when im wrestling with my friends for fun i always win but i always have the impression that im not big or strong enought, but i guess this is a good thing because i will be consistent in training hard.....but then again i sound like a girl who is watching herself in the miror and saying "im fat".........

thanx for the reply guys, i really appreciate it!!!!!!

LOL! 5'10 215lbs 20% BF ok... so you would be about 180-185lbs at about 8% bodyfat... Not that huge anymore.. if you were to cut down to compete in a Bodybuilding contest you would probably come in around 170lbs or so... so you see at 20% BF your not carrying a whole lot of muscle to be as strong as you think you should for your 'weight'... My buddy about 6 years ago did his first BB show he was then 6'0 268lbs Huge! when he had tight tshirts on e.t.c he turned heads his bodyfat was 22% or so give or take 4-5 months later when he did his show.. you know what he weighed on contest day in GREAT! shape mind you! 201lbs on the dot... It can be a huge blow to some guys ego when they cut down and discover there not as huge as they think they are.lol! Train Hard!

If you are stronger than him I hardly imagine he truly looks like Arnold. I knew a couple juicers in high school as well.
