    i'm a little new

hello. i have a problem- i'm 17, 5'9", and i weigh 118 pounds. i have almost no muscle on any part of my body except a little on my arms and some on my legs. i'm looking to increase the attractiveness of my stomach/chest. yesterday i started doing crunches and pushups.

    here is my routine:
    15 crunches
    20 pushups

i do this once every hour, all day long. i know this is probably pretty bad, but that's why i'm here. if there are other exercises that would help tone these areas, please tell me. i'm looking for things i can do in my own home, so no weight lifting please. i have a couple of 20 pound weights though...

please recommend a routine, and tell me how long it will take to get a half decent six pack

i'm not looking to be extremely built. i just want to have a decent looking upper body. thanks.

    Stop doing that, it's pointless.

Do you have access to a gym?

    dont do it every hour.../

not gonna give u the workoputs u should do cause i aint that knowledable abuot working out at home...someone else will help with that.

and for a decent six pack..u already seem to be fat free..just need to build so more muscle there to make it show more..maybe about 2-3 months of work for significant progress

    why can't you eat?

a proper diet is the MOST important aspect of gaining muscle and losing body fat.

haha. mostly because i don't know what to eat. suggest a diet?

how does eating more food help? because my stomach is so small, whenever i eat alot i generally end up looking like a have a beer belly.

    edit:
i could have access to a gym if it was absolutely necessary, but i would strongly prefer a home workout because of schedule constraints.

I thought that dedication was ?

Anyways, this is what I did when I was your age(actually 16).

First off I was 130lbs and 5'8". I joined the football team. Sure I was small, but when I got to highschool I got into powerlifting. All I took was creatine(pure monohydrate) and protein. I showed great gains because I was working out hard and 5 days a week.

    Good luck!

No matter how dedicated someone is if they're doing everything wrong they will not get anywhere.

i came to a forum to talk to people, not read articles. if someone could point me to relavent articles, that would be nice, too. its difficult to find articles for beginners, all i can find are ways to improve my technique.

    i don't have a technique.

If you dont eat you wont put any meat on your bones, you have to get past that or live with, well frankly you weigh less than many women.

If you dont have a 6 pack at your bodyweight its because your ab muscles are sorely lacking, you should be ripped to shreds and running a 4 minute mile at your bodyweight.

Right now when I eat I really dont want to most of the time. The easy way for me to gain weight is to start eating pig food, pizza and ice cream.

    conflicting information about junkfood there.

and i'm not being lazy, i've spent the last two days browsing through various articles. like i said, 95% of them are about going from 180lbs and ripped to 200lbs and extremely ripped. that's not what i'm looking for.

i suggest you join a gym and like everyone says eat.

increase your calorie intake, try a weigh ganier or a meal replacment shake to make it easier to eat more often

From who and where? There is quality eating and there is garbage eating. Garbage eating is very likely to put weight on anybody, no confliction there.
