Ignoring the cost of the bowflex ultimate, what do you guys think of this equipment, if i am considering building muscle and mass? space is a consideration as well.

don't waste your money on it.

instead spend your money on a gym membership, or at least on "real" weight training equipment: www.fitnessfactory.com

I have used the bowflex ultimate, and I think it is a good piece of equipment. It is not necuissarily the best for gaining massive muscles, but if you want to get really strong/fit then I would get it.

I think those type of home gyms are great when you don't have time to make it to the gym! i trained a girl that has the chuck norris one...I think its called the total gym, and she looks great...Look around there are so many you can buy...
