    TheDragon,

Everyone is a little different when it comes to where the body stores the most fat. Most guys that would have their abs showing pretty well would have hardly any fat on the chest.

Remember you can't spot reduce, you'll just have to fine tune your diet.

you won't get trim (lose body fat) from resistance training, and you certainly won't accomplicsh that from some pushups. Pushups are useless my friend. The only reason that you may have seen anything form them in teh beginning is b/c your body has never seen any type of resistance placed on it. It has since adapted to teh very minimal stress induced from a pushup and you need to step it up. You need ot train with weights to get the proper resistance to induce hypertrophy. As far as losing the fat that is your diet and possibly cardio, not weight trianing generally. It is not possibel to spot reduce fat in a certain area by training that area, as jim said. We have a certain order in which adipose tissue is stripped from oour body, usually starting in the abdominal area and working out for us men. Everyone is differnt though. Diet to lose fat

you can do push-ups until you're blue in the face, but it will NOT trim up your chest.

getting lean comes with proper diet and nutrition, and there is no such thing as spot-reduction.

Fat does not convert to muscle so if there is fat there, it will go away via diet.

well, thanks alot for the help, everyone, the only thing im doing besides pushups is dips.. i dont have a bench so nothing there, my diet is pretty regimented and i do 3 - 4 HIIT cardio sessions a week.

i suppose its probably one of the last places that will trim up in my body type.

    thanks for the help again.

yes, for most males the chest and abs are the last place they get lean, it is for me.

you might want to post your current diet in the nutrition forum for some help.

As best I recall men lose from the extremities first and retain in the center to maintain mobility.

Women lose last from the hips/ass/legs, which is gestation period fat store.
