I had a personal best this morning

As some of you know, I just turned fifty one. Also, in May of 2002 my left humerus was shattered in a M/C wreck.
What you may not know is I weighed in this AM at 180 lbs.

And..... drum roll please.... I benched 240 lbs twice.

That's a first for me. Even when I was a young studly whippersnapper, I never benched 240.

I just thought I'd share my little bit of good news.

Now... bring on TWO SIXTY... Yeah BaBy...

Great going man! Way to stick with it in the face of adersity!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

damn, remind me not to date your daughter, I'd hate to see what a 51 year old dad benching 240 would do to me...

    Way to go LongBiker!

I can relate. I'm turning 48 in a couple of weeks, and I can honestly say I'm stronger now then anytime in my life. It is a good feeling huh?

Thanks for all the positive replies.

When I started rehab on that arm, my physical therapist had me benching a broom stick. Believe it or not, I could barely get that sucker up with my left arm. So, I was pretty tickled yesterday with that 240 milestone.

    Thanks again guys.
