Well I have just about worked through the shoulder (assume rotator cuff) pain. It still bugs me, but not so much I can't work though it. Plus it seems to be getting stronger by the work out. HOWEVER, last night doing weighted crunches, I pulled something on the right side of my abs. in one spot about mid-way and to the outside edge. I was in the third set and after about 4 reps I felt a pinch and each additional rep hurt a little more. I quit at about 6. It wasn't like the sore you get from working them. It was sudden and in just one spot. I hope this isn't because I'm getting older? At any rate, I want to let it heal before going back at it. Is there a rule of thumb? or is it completely different for each person? Thanks

Thanks for the reply gr81. I wish I were younger, but it's my job to be older (53). I haven't touched the weights since I was 33 and have been back at it for about 3 months now. I guess I will give these a week or so and give it a go again.Originally posted by gr81
