Getting a Pump
BODYBUILDING SUPPLEMENTS High Quality Supplements For Bodybuilders and Athletes. www.ironmaglabs.com Hey guys new to these forums.
I'm 29 yrs old. Used to train for several years (14-22). After this point started training very infrequently, on and off, if at all due to various reasons in life (I know excuses, excuses). I am lucky because I have always been able to put on muscle rather easily and have always amazed people at the quick gains, so much that people often suggest I'm taking some type of steroid. Anyway, recently signed up to the gym and am back in full swing for about three weeks. I train around 4-5 times a week. The first week was great as everything was responding with a great pump probably because I was messing with the muscles sleep (j/k). However, I am noticing that I am not always getting a full pump. Sometimes I get half a pump and then it disappears. I have tried a number of different things, like dropping the weight and keeping absolute strict form to target the muscle, but still nothing. As you can imagine it can get frustrating. Any suggestions on why this might be? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

Your focus should not be a pump.
When I train heavy, low reps I do not get much of a pump either, however on alternate weeks where I go higher reps I do. Try alternating your work-out each week, take a look at this routine: http://www.ironmagazine.com/article65.html |

Thanks for the response Prince.
When I was training regulary a few years back it was all about the pump. You know, never train past the pump and such. Is their a new outlook on this? (Sorry if its a dumb question. Started reading again to catch up with the latest). An example, yesterday I did back & tris. When I did tri's I almost hardly felt a pump. However, today they are sore and I mean that 'nice' sore when you know they have been hit nicely. By the way. Thanks for the link. Plan on giving it a shot. |

I really like the feel of a nice pump after a hard ass superset, that's why when I'm lifting heavy as hell, and very little reps I'm not as please with the workout, but i know thats what i gotta do to get mass. But you dont get as much of a burn/blood flow when your lifting heavy. BUtcha gotta do what ya gotta do ya know.

i also love the pump. it makes you fully realize your growth. when your muscles are cold, they look like shit (IMO anyways). but when you're at the gym, and you feel like you're the Hulk cuz your muscles are so pumped, and you look in the mirror, and sometimes you even suprise yourself, thats when you realize how your progressing. |

I just recently started using Satur8 by ISS. pretty much identical to the Swole. 10 fewer servings than Swole but a little cheaper. HOLY CRAP!!!!! The pumps are painful!!!!!!!!! Stuff is really pretty amazing. If you want pumps, either of those two will give it to you...big time.
Babs, I hope you don't buy that Swole straight from Sytrax. Those prices are insane. In other words..."bend over, we are going to charge you suggested retail". lol |

Either dps for 26.99 or I get it locally. Locally it runs $31.00 tax included. Smoking deal...especially if I need it right away. 1fast400 has great prices too with awesome turnaround. Their Swole and satur8 run about the same price. Like I said, you get 10 more servings on the Swole so it is a little better deal. I've seen and read the results on the swole, so I figured I would try something with virtually the same ingred. to see if the results with similar. FOr some reason, the satur8 hit the system a little faster(first day), but results are very similar.

what's so great about a pump? just cause it looks good for an hour? i take swole and i don't really care about the pump, it sort gets in the way of lifting because it starts to get where i can barely move my arms. i just like swole for the strength increase.

We are talking about the pump because that is what the original poster was enquiring about. I like the strength increase as well. But it only feeds the ego for about an hour too. lol
