Oh No Overtraining?

What are some ways to tell your overtraining..I just feel that I cant concentrate when im at the gym lately. I really max myself out each time im there because im trying to gain muscle mass so every workout is intense and heavy..I feel as if I dont lift heavy that I wont see gains..should i take a few days off or can i just spend some time getting "defined"...

Dude, what can you lose for piece of mind? A day off, a week..certainly nothing thats going to set you back. I havn't overtrained in lifting before (new) but I have in other endevours. What has come to pass is the burn out is far worse than the time off that could of been taking. Instinct is wise, you seem to be in control, take control and do what feels right.
