Things you do b4 a workout

the moment i wake up, or in the afternoon, i would usually take a shower b4 hitting the gym. but sometimes when i feel tired , my mind thinks 'damn, i still need to bathe just to go to this workout, forget it. you know what i mean? im interested to know who bathes before every single workout for hygiene reasons or otherwise.

fuck it man, if you go straight to the gym only have one after! If you had to make a number of trips first - yeah. Especially if they involve pretty girls!

If I come home first from work, then I shower before going to the gym, feel more relaxed and have more energy.

Otherwise when I get to gym I just think about what Im trying to accomplish by being there.

I shower before AND after working out. I need the morning shower to wake me up and I'm pretty sure I'd lose a lot of friends if I didnt shower after.

I don’t have any specific routine before working out, the only thing I do consistently before working out is eat a high carb meal before working out and that’s it.

I crank Rage against the Machine in my car on the way to the gym. Does that count?

Watching Pumping Iron or Blood and Guts always gets me pumped up as well.

I know a couple of guys that take a shower before their workout everytime. They swear by it and say that it wakes them up and gives them a better workout. I have never tried it.

taking a dump is numero uno on my list. i don't eat alot in the hour or two before my workout cuz i hate training on an even somewhat full stomach. so i always "go to the office" and put in some overtime before i hit the gym, that way my stomach at least feels empty and light.

after i get out of the office, i pop a caffiene pill, and like to watch a little part of a video or two. Pumping Iron, The Comeback, Blood and Guts, Lee Haney or a Mr. O tape. usually gets the blood flowing.

oh ya, and i usually keep the videos on mute and blast heavy metal in the background and on the carride there.....and the people at my gym wonder why i look like a madman as soon as i show up.

I use to do epha, aspirin, and caff. but I think that cocaine would actually be better for you than the speed stack. I don't know, I just hate everyone at the gym when I am on the speed stack. Does anyone else want to beat the fat personal trainers at the gym like I do while speed stacking?? Damn! Good thing I don't use gear, I might hurt someone!

Yes, I shower every time before I go and workout. I take a really hot one to help loosen muscles and whatnot.

Well I workout first thing in the morning, so I shower after I workout. I also make sure that I have my water mixed with some ICE since I just got that in the mail, a towel, MP3 player, etc., before hitting the gym.
