Who's had the flu this year?

I am recovering. It hit me last Sunday, Dec 21, despite getting a flu shot about six weeks ago. It hit me hard, too. I missed three days of work last week and barely ate for five days. I still don't have my appetite back yet. I have not trained since Dec 21. I tried to go mountain biking yesterday, but it was UGLY. My legs just could not keep the bike moving and my upper body was so spent, I could barely keep myself upright on the bike. BLECH. I didn't even bother trying to get to the gym this morning. I will try tomorrow. I have not taken any supplements for over week now.

Damn thing hits fast, don't it? I felt fine last Sunday morning. I woke up 7:00 AM, went to the gym, did a couple loads of laundry. By 1:00 PM, I was bedridden and had a fever.

She started to feel bad christmas eve. She hasn't run a fever though. I don't think it has hit her as hard as some people even though she feels like crap. I think the flu shot helped her. But me on the otherhand decided not to get it.

I had a bit of a cold, but that about all. It sure took the wind out of my sails for a few days though.

I had the flu for the entire month of december and lost lots of weight. I went back to the gym today after a break and it kuicked my ass. I lost so much strength. I dragged in the gym and to top it off my buddy had a friend of his come work out and he talked forever. I just wanted to keep on rollin and pound the stuff out but these two just kept talking. I from now on do my own thing non of this socializing crap!! Well I hope after these few days back I get into the swing of things and get pumpin I had to push my bulking period back for this damn flu! Good luck to everyone else who got sick.

It took me two weeks to get rid of the flu. I caught it right before thanksgiving and I felt like I was going to die. Sihivers and bad body aches 4 days straight. I just got a held cold christimas eve and wasnt able to taste anything for crhistmas dinnner. That sucked. The held cold inst bothering me to much. It acutally helped as I did a couple of hardcore cardio sessions and my nose opened up from sweating so much.

I hope it goes away soon as I am ready to start lipoderm ultra and z-14 meltdown. Nohtings worse than having some brand new supps and not being able to use them.

Today was my first day back at the gym after missing a week from the flu. It was great to be working out again, even with reduced weight. Even though my philosophy is "feed a cold - feed a fever", I lost seven lbs. in a week - much of it muscle I'm afraid.

I thought I was immune to such things, but obviously not. Think I'll try echinacea - thanks for the tip Plouffe!

I just recovered from mine... I trained 3 times while I had it, though, which probably wasn't the smartest thing to do. I lost a LOT of strength because I took a week off before it hit. Leg day with a loss of strength is very demoralising.

    Peace.

Based on what I hear people say is the flu, I guess I have never had it. I'm lucky though, I never exceed my ins. deductible each year. 250.00.

All I did was call my doc. He heard the word FLU and called my pharmacy for me and hooked me up with some powerful meds. They helped, but the meds gave me some wicked ance.

Everyone around me has gotten it.

    Family, coworkers, friends.

I haven't had a trace of it; I rarely get sick.
