looks to loaded and complicated. You feel uncomforateble or closterfobic inside it while lifting. If I were you I would get just a regular bench that adjusts to an incline and upright position. Kind of like the benches that they have a gyms, that people use for dumbell work. Then you can just set it up inside that power rack that you had a picture of and that is all you need. You can rack and un-rack the weight and you don't even need a spotter because you can put the safties in the power rack.

The externals detach, it looks ok to me... When I was a kid that kind of bench would have run an easy $300, which is about what mine cost.
I'm not sure I like those angles they worked into the bench though. That appears to be a full size bench, which means you will need a ~$99 Olympic weight set, confirm that though in person. I dont believe a 6 foot bar would work on that bench. |

is it just me or does that bench look like it would fall apart when doing heavy weights(200lbs and up)?

My bench used to tip over with anything over 200 pounds, I had to put plates on the bottom at the ends to stabalize it. I hate cheap benches, one of many reasons I go to a gym where stuff is screwed into the ground.
For me to get any use out of that pulldown, I can almost gaurantee it will tip over that bench without question. Also, I cant use leg extentions on those machines without putting something under the bench as my legs just sit on the floor (long legs). I have a pullup bar at home: http://www.newyorkbarbells.com/02001.html |

Working on a new me!

Don't do it. I got one from wally world that had that same liitle bar that supports the bench. It is hollow. And I saw the weight limits only after I had used it. 360 for flat bench and 300 for the incline including the person
Granted I wasn't doing that when I got it but I am now. I need to get a better one. Also, my bench is also only 9" wide. I am wondering if that alone is hindering my strength gains on a bp. |

Good point. The cushion on the cheap benches bothers me, and at my height I can't use my old bench any more very easily because my shoulders go up into where the steel support beams are. My bar was hollow also but I never had problems with it.

It holds my phat ass with no trouble, it definitely is better than the type that fit in between the door frames.
