If you took a few weeks off it would take me a few weeks to work back into a full routine. I dont understand what carbs (energy food) has to do with throwing up or not.

I took a couple of months off the weight training and diet to get moved into a new house, get settled in and partied out with holiday visitors (demands of visiting relatives and in laws can destroy a routine faster than anything I know of). I started back at it fresh over a week ago and attempted to get close to maximum old volume and weight levels (not something I would normally attempt right away). I immediately felt light headed and slightly nauseous on the fist day and was extremely sore for the entire week. Since I was off my high performance diet I was not at all surprised at feeling like this. But already I am coming back to close to old maximum strength levels and the adverse reactions re diminishing. My advise is just shrug it off, get plenty of rest, minimize external stress, incrementally work up to your old levels and persevere. Barring the occasion of any real health or female conditions (time of month or pregnancy?) I bet you will be fine within a week or two. Hang in there – bodybuilders and fitness people never say die and always win.

Ok I didn't want to be the first one in to start claiming "pitty party", but it certainly does seem that way.

You have to want it in order to stick with it, one bad session certainly wouldn't throw me off course or give me thoughts of quiting.

You should want to punch the balls right off yourself for even thinking of giving up. Thats just me though.

Then you need to quit weight training and take up something a bit less stressful.... like yoga, or horseshoes.
