How far has your body fat % dropped?
I hear a lot of statistics on people losing weight, but many of them just become "skinny fat" after losing so much muscle. I'd like to hear some success stories for people dropping body fat %. Has anyone gone from a 20% to a 8% for example????
If so, please feel free to share how you did it and over how long. |

you know what is amazing? his upper arms are the exact same size from 30% bf to 9% bf (14.5") yet look at the illusion due to the muscularity and definition. |

Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill.

It was a slow progression... a good idea is every two weeks cut something unhealthy out of your diet replace it with a wholesome food... don't try and do it all at once... that just sends your body in a panic and hurts your progress....
I wish i could start again to see how quickly I could do it now that I've learned so much more |

i did a modified atkins type diet. once in ketosis, i tried to eat mainly lean protiens and lots and lots of veggies. i lost 40 pounds without working out at all, and started lifting weights after i stripped off all the fat i wanted to. i lost another 10 pounds in the beginning of weight training and then put on about 7 or 8 pounds of lean mass. i don't do low carb anymore as it hinders the workouts somewhat, but i stay away from flour, sugar, and such....much like most on this forum.
