when you get stronger drop the bar warm-up. A 20 pound jump at this point in the workout is not drastic, anything less would just be wasteed energy and would tire you out.If you get to 180 for 4 reps say 130,150,180,.
Here is my benchpress reps and weight whenever i work my chest:
bar warmup, 8 reps x 125lbs, 7 reps x 135 lbs,
5 reps x 155lbs, 4 reps x 170 pounds.
I have two questions:
1) Is it bad that i start out so slow then increase weight pretty drastically on the 5 rep set? I do this because i want to ensure no injuries so i start out small. Is that ok?
2)In a few weeks ill obviously get stronger. When i decide that im ready to increase my weight... which set should i increase weight? the warmup set? or the last set? Or all of them a little?

I agree with tjwes. Why don't you try starting with a 25 on each side and go from there? I think you will get more results from even that little bit of extra weight.
