Mine has been the pecs. No matter what I do I cant seem to get that body builder look on the pecs. Only time will tell. Im hopping by summer there will be some good definition.

Oh if you have overcome your troubled mucsle group tell us how you did it and how long it took you.

o.w.f.-
when you work chest, make sure you "squeeze" the weight up, instead of pushing it. 90% of people workout wrong, by not using the muscles they think they are working. Instead, most people tend to just push the weight (on flatbench for example), using more shoulders than chest. Lighten teh weight up and concentrate on the m.m. connection.

As far as a troubled muscle group, EVERY muscle group was not good for me (with the exception of my chest). I've busted my ass and now the rest of my body is caught up to my chest.

Thanks Flex. Let me ask you something. Lets say after a good chest workout assuming that I was using good form, by my pecs being sore the next day and not the shoulders would that be a good indication of great form? Sometimes I do feel myself pushing instead of squeezing but correct it on the next rep by going a little wider and pausing at the top to feel the squeeze.

exactly...

soreness doesnt indicate a great workout, but it will tell you exactly what muscle(s)/part of the muscle(s) you worked.

therefore, to answer yoru question, if your chest is sore and your shoulders arent, tahts a good thing

most importantly though bro, always think about the muscle your working. squeeze the weight up, give it a full contraction at teh top, and feel it "relax" on the way down. hope this helps...

Mind-muscle connection is probably the most important thing you can learn in the gym, and it comes with experience, the sooner you get a feel for it, though, the better, ESPECIALLY with the back, too many people pull with their biceps instead of pulling through the elbows for back movements and therefore experience less than optimal widening/thickening results...I agree that for benchpress it is equally important.

FOr me it's always been the calves...and forearms. Thankfully these are rather trivial muscles (IMO) and I don't stress it too much, really, my other body parts develop decently...Traps I have a real problem with too.

Peace.

Lats, I think I will try going lighter and see if I can hit them a little better. Only time will tell how it goes.
