Hey u all. I was wondering if it was physically possible for me to lift any more weight than i am already because of my size.
Im about 135 and trying desperately to gain weigth but icant..i love my strength compared to my size...but even then i cant lift as much as my friends who dont work out aas much. For example i can Bench about 210 pounds which is like 150% of my body weight....are body builders supposed to be able to lift like 200% of ther bodyweight? and if i wanted to get strogner....would i have to get bigger or can i stay at this weight and get strongeR?
Good, bad, im the guy with the gun-Army of Darkness

Most people that say this seem to go on the see-food diets, but never for extended periods of time. If dont know exactly what it is you put in your mouth it doesn't count.
You need to know how much it takes for you to maintain bodyweight, and then you need to add 500 to that for every pound you want to gain PER WEEK. If you wanted to gain a pound a day you'd have to eat about another 3600 calories, so you see this takes work - its not something you see overnight. 1-2 pounds per week is about all you can add naturally without getting horrendously fat.
There are powerlifters who try on purpose to stay within a certain weight class and are very strong, yes.
Bodybuilding has nothing to do with strength, there is no "supposed to" blah blah at all in terms of strength. Markus Ruhl uses little kid weights.
On a good day I can bench 380 @ 230 which is 1.65:1, not terribly impressive. TwinPeaks at his best could do close to double, and of course there are those doing 3:1 (powerlifters primarily) and squatting 4:1. If I have LAMs statistics correct, 567 bench @ 229, 2.476:1
