    chest to sore for tris

the two muscles group that get the sorest on me are chest and tri's .. which bring me to my problem

on tuesday i did chest and biceps
    wed off
now its thursday.. back and triceps...

now i am on gopros workout for everything BUT chest, and it was shock week ....

so one thing i did was CG bench.. and i could feel my chest burning... becuase of the fact it was still sore... same with dips even though i was in a much more upright position...

is this something to worry about? overtraining chest? how could i fix it... my current routine is

    mon off
    tues chest and biceps
    wed off
    thursday back and triceps
    friday ooff
    satruday shoulders
    sunday legs
somehow trying to get the abs but bulk at the same time.......

My routine is quite similar to yours:

    Monday: Chest & Biceps
    Wednesday: Back & Triceps
    Friday: Shoulders & Legs

When I first started my new routine, sometimes muslces would be sore for the next lifting session. It didn't stunt my gains though. I have gone up in every lift so far, even the same few lifts that I kept from my last routine.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

You may not have felt that you were getting a good workout using the chest/tri - back/bi split, but you were doing your body a favor. As you have learned the painful way, many triceps exercises also incorporate the pectorals as well, just like most back exercises also utilize the biceps. If you do chest/bi's on Monday, then do back/tri's on Tuesday, you are causing your chest to work when it should be at rest. Without proper rest, you are hampering you own development. Keep in mind that you don't grow during the workout but during the following 24-72 hours.
If you insist on a back/tri - chest/bi split, the you may benifit more from a tricept isolation excercise. You can find a bunch of them here

yea i see that... but if im lifting chest tuesday .. it will get 48 hours before being minorly by tricep work, then it will get a full 4 days rest before getting hit again.. so would this still hinder it?

if youre chest is too sore and you think youre overtraining it, then just do less sets.... same with triceps. my triceps grew for 6 months without isolating them at all! everyones different and some people need to work out certain muscles more/less... my chest must be stimulated a ton to grow, but my back doesnt really need much work at all.

Maybe you should take 2 days off after chest workouts or switch your Sat. and Thu. workouts. You could also try exercises that don't use the chest to work your tris. I like skullcrushers, kickbacks, overhead ext.
