i wouldnt...for most people the first cutting they do is muscle, at least for body-builders, but for normal gym rats...i dunno
I'm cutting, but today I had an amazing session maxing on all lifts (rare when cutting), and I thought what if I eat big for a couple of days to see if I can pick up some LBM, then resume the cut. Possible?...and if so, couldn't you cycle within your cutting period to pick up a little LBM? Am I out of my friggin tree?![]()

I meant that when they first start their cutting cycle, the first weight loss will be muscle, then a lil water, then fat
I just meant that just b/c he had one good workout doesnt mean he should go off his cut diet

why do you think the initial weight loss will be muscle?
I read it in an M&F mag so i was just saying that, of course i dont know if its true
But it seems plausible when you think about it
When you stop taking in as much calories, then your body could go into catabolism, just b/c you decreased your eating all of a sudden, so it may think your about to starve or soemthing
i dunno oh well...
If you eat the proper proportions you should be taking enough proteins and carbs to allow your body to maintain its LBM and get rid of the excess body fat. When you cut you just dont go from 4000 calories a day to 1800. If so you will go into catabolism correct? This is why you gradually lower your cals rather then all at once.
Correct me if I'm wrong though.
