About a year ago I tried MAX-OT, I did not follow it to a T, just the basic principles. I would not recommend that you continue it non-stop, but it's okay to do once or twice per year.

Personally, I think I get more out of higher reps than what that program advocates, but you should try it and see how it works for you.

Worked nicely for me, just be careful not to completely buy into all the "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO WORKOUT" stuff they throw at you. I highly respect AST because they are a fair, research based company who has the absolute best protein in the business(VP2 is excellent), but their "our way or the highway" attitude gets on my nerves.

low rep, big weight is the core principle of max-ot. without it, you're not really doing max-ot or even adhereing to their concepts.

i tried it a while back and i really liked it. The way they teach you to warm up and the fact that high-intensity working sets are the only thing you should be concerned about really makes sense. basically they say don't waste your time by fatigueing yourself with submaximal weight.

Yeah I know about the more wieght less reps thing. I just think I could maybe add 1-2 more reps to each set with heavy weight. So that's what I think ima do. Like with squats they say only to do from 4-6 reps each set. I think I could add more reps. Same goes for deadlifts. I just think for some exercises I could add more reps.

yea, i see what you're saying. i guess it does make sense to add reps to some excercises. Like calves for example, i don't care what they say but you're calves ain't gonna grow doing 4-6 reps no matter what.
