    Adjustable Pull Up Bar

Quick question, probally belongs more in the Home Depot forums but curious..

All I have is DBs and bench and I really want to target my back with multiple exercises... One Arm Rows and inclined bench rows are whats on the menu currently, but would love to pick up one of those adjustable pull up bars that you install in a door frame. Problem is tho, I rent.

Does anyone know if they tear the doorframe up? Is there recommendation to type or brand that wouldn't leave to much damage?

Anything that requires that you screw into a door frame will ofcourse put holes in the door frame. I say do a clean job and try to fill the holes when your moving out.

White toothpaste fills the holes pretty good. I used it when I moved out of the dorms in college. Never received a notice or fine for it either.

yeah, just fix the door frame up when you are doing to leave. A little puddy will cover up the holes. It shouldn't be that bad. I have moved around quite a bit (living in boston and NYC) and drilled holes in many walls, even built an entire wall and have just destroyed apartments. You can always fix them up good enough to get your security deposit back.

Works great, doesn't rip up the door frame, no screwing into the walls at all. I weigh ~250 and it can make an indentation however, its minor enough I dont really care. It could be 'fixed' if one cared to spread the load out over more of a surface than the tubing size they used.

I just got mine in a couple of days ago and did a back workout just to try it out. The last time I did pullups was in hs 7 years ago. I did 3 sets of 8 and couldn't believe it. More than I could do in hs but I still suck.
