    worked legs today

I did a full legs workout this morning for the first time in "a while." I could barely make it down the gym stairs because my legs were so tired. Then when I was showering, my legs were shaking trying to keep the rest of my body up. Now walking around the office, I can barely walk straight.

No question here....just sharing the story.

I am going to be one sore mofo the next two or three days.......

LOL! Same thing happened to me last week. Did legs for first time in a while. Went pretty heavy...for me. My friend was laughing his ass off at me 'cuz I had to hold onto the handrail to get downstairs. Even with that I still had a hard time getting downstairs. My legs were spent, but man, what a workout!

Yeah, I'm really looking forward to walking like Frankenstein for the next couple of days.

    It's a good pain though!

Now I have to make sure I work the legs regularly to avoid pain like this.

The best part is having to use the handicap stall in the public restroom so you can use the grab rails to hoist yourself up and down.
Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

Funny? I'm being serious. Well sort of, I have to laugh at myself whenever I do it and rest assured, I HAVE done that before.

Leg day for me today, had a great workout as always. Used the smith for squats as my back was still sore from friday when my wrist strap broke doing deads.
It was good though, tried a couple diffrent stances, wide, narrow and soulder width, think I'll be feeling it tommorow.
    Cool

I'm NOT glad that happened to you, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only person who's experienced this. I get funny looks every time I talk about it, kind of like they don't believe it's possible. If I wasn't so cheap I'd replace my straps BEFORE they broke.

I was using the gyms straps, I just bought my own cause I don't want it happening again, my back finally feels good today so I might do deads tommorow.

I'm a little scared of going heavy after that happened, funny how you worry more about getting hurt as you get older.

You're preaching to the choir there Scotty. The worst injury I've ever had with weights was a torn spinal erector during a stupid warm-up set of deads. That was YEARS ago and I'm still not where I was mentally. I could probably lift the same weigths physicall but it's my weak mind holding me back. I'll admit it, I'm just plain scared. If/when I ever overcome that fear I'll probably be lifting more than ever.

I'm doing legs tommorow. I always do them on the last day of the week and try to rest them over the weekend before running on Monday. I will do HEAVY squats, stiff legged deadlifts, leg extensions and calf raises. I hope to get as exhausted as you guys did.

Cool. For the next few months, I'll be going heavy on the legs, doing them once a week. I'll stick to Monday or Tuesday. I mountain bike on the weekends, so I'll rest the legs one day after my last ride of the weekend, then do a workout early in the week. This way my legs will be rested for the next weekend's riding.

BTW guys, my legs are finally getting back to "normal" today, four days after working them (muscles aren't as sore). I know you were all concerned.

I gotta ask this since you are on the subject of legs. How do you keep your butt out of it? Or at least mostly out of it. Mine's already large enough. You know the type. The kind you see on those dudes running around the bases. The type that sticks up higher than your feet on a lying hamstring curl. The one that all the black girls in town want to reach out and touch to see if it's real, because white men don't have those. Anyone ??

I got one of those booties too. But my wife says she likes it, so I'm not too concerned.

The only time my butt feels sore from a workout is if I'm using a wide stance on squats.

Mule tells me the only time his butt is sore is after a party at Albobs house, wonder what thats all about???

And Scotty finally scores a direct hit. Way to go Scotty. (Bastard.)

Anyway yeah, keep your feet closer together to eliminate any glute involvement. Well, not eliminate COMPLETELY, butt minimize it. Get it? Butt? Minimize? Keep your butt small? Am I the only one around here that's awake??????????
