What you think about BODY FOR LIFE

Hi,

I am just wondering what I should be thinking about the book Body For Life from Bill Phillips. The way I Have been training by the past was : For big muscle groups, generally 3-4 exercices per part, 3-4 sets per exercie and for smaller muscle groups, 2-3 exercices per part, 2 - 3 sets per exercice.Dropping sets 12-10-8-6, sometimes work with supersets.

Now by reading this book, I'm just wondering if someone's did that kind of trainings during 12 weeks and as got such results as mentionned in the book.

Could someone please clear me up with that.

Thank you

Kim

I work at a nutrition store and have had many customers who have gotten very good results from his programe. Just don't feel that you need to buy all EAS products But it is alway good to try new styles. It's the only way to tell what is going to work for you. Its worth a shot. No one style is going to work the same for everyone.

No I don't use steroids... But thanks for asking.

Hi Babsie

Did you as well follow the training he suggest. As for my self, everytimes I try to follow the way he suggest it. I'm scare of not doing enough different exercice by bodypart. I didn't by his suppls. the only thing I buy is my isolate Whey protein and the taste is not good at all.
Thank your for your help

Hello Kim,

The only thing I followed was the diet. I have a personal trainer who designs work outs based on my individual goal.

I take it you're trying to tone your body down a pinch and do not care to save muscle. Or just the oposite?

When I first started working out, I followed his plan, just didn't buy all their products. Its a great place to get a start in working out and develope the habits of eatting healthy along with weight training. It's all gonna depend on what your goals are.

I read the book several years ago and then gave it away...I guess for a complete newbie to fitness it might be helpful.

Hi to all of You,

Many thank's to reply to me. My goal is to have nice muscle tone and being cut at the same times. My stat is: I'am 5'6" , I weigh 149 pounds. I don't mind addind muscle as long I keep my body fat low. I bought my self a calipser's and my BF seems to be at 25%. I'm just wondering if my calipse's is giving me good reading. As I'm looking to myself in the mirors, my upper abs gin and my side oblique begin to show a little. How ever, I guess that Paris was not build in a day. My goal is be looking like a fitness bodybuilders. I got a quick view over the gallery here, and I can say that all of you ladies are very inspiring. I Hope you will give me some helps for my achievment.

For answering how I would like to look, If I have to choose one person's `:JBL001 you are the one I will like to look like.
I haven't get the time to go through all gallery and remember name's of all girl but I am sure you are all doing and looking great. .

Regarding the plan of meals of body of life, from now it is what I am following the more closure to his book.

I have heard that 70% of the way we eat is the key of our succes and the 30% is the training. Did you agree with that statement.

Hope to learn more from all of you and let me know if I should train as: 3-4 different exercices - 3-4 set for major muscle
2-3 different exercices - 2-3 set for smaller groups.
Is it really the way to go
Thank's so much to all of you

Kim
Happy being in board

Kim...I wish I looked like my gallery images all the time. Keep in mind, I have to diet for 16 weeks or so to get that lean, and it only stays a short time. I'm addicted to cakes, cookies, etc. So in the off season, I am larger than in those images.

Your correct when you say diet is the key. You have to find one that works well for you and the goals your trying to reach. Give the BFL a try, many people have had great results with it.

Kim I began in October 2002 at 56yrs and 238# and 33%+ body fat. In January of 2003 I had lost 38#'s of scale weight and was at 16%bf. I did this following the BFL nuitrition program. I did not use the suppliments from EAS with one exception and that was Cytovol. I added a whey protein powder to my post workouts and a good multivitamin.

I did not do the arobics and I chose my own workouts, primarily because I had some home equipment and no gym to go to.
