    Stretch Marks on back!!

Hmmmm ok, I seem to have some pretty bad stretch marks on my back. Is it probabale that I am not performing the exercise incorrectly (deadlift, bent over rows) or is it more likely that I am lifting too heavy.
I know you cant see me peform the exercises but if anyone can tell me some common mistakes when lifting that would be helpful. When I am doing these exercises I try keep my back as straight as possible and never hunched over, sometimes it is even arched slightly backwards.

I guess another possibilty is that cause I'm 16 they could simply be from growing. I dunno, what do you's reckon?? BTW the marks are situated around my 'lower middle back'

Cool thanks, however I have one question

It is said that those marks come from big guys quickly losing weight, or women losing weight very quickly from pregnancy. I however started lean and I still am lean, and I havent gone through any real weight loss/gains??

I have read that one factor here this also has to do with certain genetics factors as to how elastic your skin may be. People with less elastic skin would have deeper and more strech marks than those with more elastic skin.

I believe Ghosts statement may be true as well. If you fall into this category you may try keeping your skin moist using lotions with vitamin E or other products to help maintain your skins moisture. This may help improve the elasticity of your skin and thereby reduce the stretch marks. Bandaid indicated that this would not help, but I myself don't see how it could hurt. It is worth a try. Finally, I would see a dermatologist.
