Soccer is over - Offseason Training Help

Hey guys, well soccer season for high school is over and I will be hitting the gym again and I was wondering if you guys could help me out.

I've been using GoPros Strength, Rep, Shock Routines and they work great. Should I stay with these or should I go off to different routines? I'm trying to build muscle and keep my legs in shape so they won't get fatigued for sprinting for 90 minutes straight.

Mostly looking for a leg workout that won't add that much mass onto my legs to slow me down. I want to train to make my legs so they won't get tired as fast and improve quickness and speed. Upper body, I have under control.

Gday

I play futbol aswell and I dont do any weight work at all for the legs, hardly any decent footballers have big legs. I just do upper body weights to keep cut and the cardio from training keeps the legs trim.

"hardly any decent footballers have big legs"
??

Decent footballplayers might not have big legs, but the best have huge ones. Roberto Carlos and Davids have got bigger legs then anyone in this forum I think.

Gday

Thats why i didnt say no footballers have big legs. On average footballers have small legs compared to sprinters, rugby league, rugby union etc. You need speed generally and bulk doesnt assist speed. Look at van Nistelrooy, Shevchenko, Robinho, Diego Henry etc. these blokes have defined yet not bulky legs. Roberto Carlos, Ronaldinho etc are excetptions

I just wanted to say that IMO you need to do more then just cardio for legs. And as you say no need to have really big legs, aslong as they are strong and explosive, which I belive you need to hit the weights in order to get them.
