Monday seem like a long workout session; I've read that is not ideal to go very far over an hour during weight training sessions. Are you able to get back, bi's, and forearms done under or around an hour??

Ohterwise the routine looks good.

I agree with the comments already made: there is no shoulder exercises, and monday seems like a lot of lifting for one day. One more thing that I notice is that you are doing a lot of cardio. If you are bulking, then I would limit the cardio. If you aren't bulking, then that level of cardio training is probably fine.

I was thinking you could put forearms and shoulders on Thursday. Also, you might want to do abs one more day per week, but not necessarily. You know your body better than I do. If you know your abs respond well to only working them one day per week, then continue using that method.

Oh, well in that case I would move both biceps and forearms to Thursday and give your back it's own day. I started giving both legs and back dedicated lifting days recently and I really like the results so far. My legs and back have both improved more than they were.

Yeah probably the best way to fix this is just take 1 off day during the week maybe in the middle. Then substitute your 2nd off day for your back and lats. For me delts are tougher then lats so I work my delts first, then my lats then go into your cardio if you want. Many are successful with HITT...

Most say workout only for 1 hour. I tried that for me, but seemed like I wasn't getting good results from that. With me I do 4-5 sets of each exercise so I usually go workout between 1.5-2 hours. Most will dispute that, but that works for me. Sometimes I don't think much about the theory and just monitor the results and what works for me.

Where is traps, neck, shoulder, glutes, calves ?
The legs day includes something more than "squats" ?
Why not switch the cardio for the OFF days ?

I add traps and shoulders in on my delts and lats day. I consider that all within the same group. As for Neck, not everyone works that in regularly. I rotate every 6 weeks myself and add neck in from time to time. As for Legs, he categorized "LEGS" then specificed squats. I assume he meant legs being all the leg exercises he selects, in addition to squats. As for cardio, he has already designated a day for off/cardio. The other two days he should use to take the load of some of the other days.

I don´t do that anymore. I know that some compounds movements incorporate them but I feel the need to separate because you must focus on hitting them in different planes of motion.
Anyway, I don´t do neck regularly too.

i would recommend not having a cardio day the day after your legs if you cardio involves biking or running, it be good to allow your legs to rest, maybe switch that day to like an abs forearm or other lightworkout

Ideally, I agree. However, I often do HIIT cardio the day after my leg workout, and it hasn't appeared to hinder my progress as of yet.

hey questionguy,

if your gonna work your biceps you should do your triceps on the same day instead of working them on differant days. cuz just about every tricep exercise you do does do a lil to your biceps so you might as well do them all at once.

i really dont see anything wrong with this except put shoulders in on chest/tricep day. if youre doing bench, youre already hitting front shoudler, u could put in middle and bakc soulder exercises. i like to hit chest on monday, legs on wednesday, and bakc on friday to keep my upper body far apart. thats just me. im drunk.

well if your getting a workout on your tri's from doing bench presses then that means your grip is to close together. plus put in some wide grip bench presses. it will stress the wohle pec area and put less on the delts.

Every time I step into the gym I know I'll walk out a little stronger.

Twizted is correct... Close grip when benching works your triceps. If you want to stray away from that, just use a wider grip. To me, Triceps and benching should be separated and not done on the same day... But that is me.

If your going to do them both together, most definately would do chest before triceps.
