It's possible, but not likely - especially if you're not a newbie. If you eat very clean calories in excess all your gains should be mostly muscle. Decide which you would rather have - more mass or lower bf and then work toward that goal.

Lenny: Pfft, forget it, Homer. While it has been established that eggs contain cholesterol, it has not yet been proven conclusively that they actually raise the level of serum cholesterol in the human
    blood stream.

is 13% too low to have this be a possiblity or is it high enough to lose the fat and add the muscle?

If you are really a newbie you will probably loose a couple percent of body fat just by cleaning up your diet. (I went down 1% in a month, but I have a fast matabolism, though I'm not on a strict diet)

You CAN add mass and lose bodyfat, but its MUCH easier to focus on one or the other. If you were to add mass and lose bodyfat your diet would have to be close to perfect as far as exactly what your daily needs of protein/carbs/fats. Most people dont know their bodies well enough for that, and even if you DO know, because your trying to add mass and lose fat, both processes would be much slower if you were focusing on one or the other.

My suggestion is to pick whichever one is more important for you at this time and focus on it. I have always said add mass first, you can always get lean after, AND youll have some new mass to show for it. If you lean out first, you have no mass to show, and youll eventually have to give much of that leaness off to get some mass. Its basically an extra step to get lean first, than to get massive first.

    Just my 2 cents.

Most people have an easier time adding mass, then after they have accomplished their weight gain goals they cut. Once you have more muscle your metabolism will be higher. So, it will be easier to lose fat.
