What do you think of this Home Gym?

Instead of signing up for another year of Golds Gym membership for $600+ I thought I'd just buy this and stick it in the basement. What do you guys think of this system? The price of it? Anything missing here besides the actual bench (which I already have)?

    Thanks.

Well if your just going to to the basics (bench, squat, deadlift) and a few ancillary exercises, AND you dont care about chaning it up too much, then it looks OK.

However, for most people, myself included, I like having more variety and the fact that you have to buy dumbells too. You cant do pull-ups, cables of any kind, or much for calvs, hams or abs.

But I enjoy having the "luxery" of gym equipment. If your not looking for all that stuff, then it should be pretty good.

    looks pretty cheap.

get a good solid power rack.

ray if you are interested in putting together a home gym come into the city one weekend and we can go to a warehouse and I can recomend the good shit to buy (racks, benches, bars...etc.) you will spend more than $600 but this stuff will last you for a long ever. I can help you set up a killer gym.

Can't remeber the exact place. One of my buddies goes there a lot. I'll try and remember to get the adress from him on Mon. You can probably get a pretty good leg press there also, if you have room for it.

I used to sell home gym equipment for about 4 years and we used to sell that one. It's okay but I wouldn't get it for myself. The lifetime warrenty is misleading. It's not bad tho.

I say buy some $30-40 olympic adjustable dumbells as well. That way you can use all the same plates for the dumbells and barbell. As well, a $10-15 chinup bar is a nice investment.
