    rest day

I have a question concerning rest inbetween workouts. I was working out Monday, Wed. and Friday. Biceps, Tris, chest on Monday and back and shoulders on Wed. then again Biceps...etc, on Friday. Then I started doing Biceps, triceps, chest on Monday and back and shoulders on Tuesday with wed. off and then same routine on Thursday and Friday with Sat and Sun off. My question is: I missed my workout this monday.....would it be o.k to work out 4 days in a row without a rest day or would that discourage growth due to lack of recovery time.

    Thanks

Depends on your body. I workout Monday-Friday, but my split allows me to do this, because i'm making sure to seperate and train different muscle groups properly so I don't overtrain. Your workout seems to focus on your waist up. If you mixed your split up a little and threw a couple leg days in there you'd be fine going four days in a row.

Your Upper bodygains should also get better with the addition of lower body, as for the rest time between just do a search on 4 or 5 day splits and and see what fits your schedual best, and listen to your body, if there is pain I would wait.

You could do it once in a while.More importantly would be to train your legs.Training legs will help the entire body in the long run.Not a glamorous bodypart in clothes,or easy work, but it`s a definate plus to train them.

    legs

I guess I do need to train my legs some. The reason I don't is because they are so well developed naturally. I'm not joking. My calves are more developed and muscular than anybody I know. They even look a little funny. I can't pull my jeans up over them. People think I heavy training for my legs, but I have NEVER worked them. Is it true that training my legs will release growth harmones in my body?

From what I heard, training the legs stimulates overall growth in the body.

Heavy high rep squats will cause GH to be released as will heavy deads or clens for higher reps.In my opinion if you don`t train legs you are merely working out,not training.Training legs gives you a myriad of health benefits as well as keeping the upper and lower body in proportion.Get to squatting!LOL
