too much legs in one workout?
This morning, I did the following for my legs workout:
Leg Presses: 1x15, 1x10, 3x8 Squats: 1x12, 3x8 Deadlifts: 4x8 Hamstring curls: 1x15, 1x10, 3x8 Seated calf raises: 5x10 Back extensions (roman chair), 2x20 Am I doing too much in one workout? I'm thinking the presses, squats, and deads in one workout might be too much. |

When you say Deadlifts, I assume that you are talking about the stiff legged kind for the hamstringss? If so then I don't think you are doing too much. Legs usually need more work than other muscle groups.

As far a squats and leg presses, I usually alternate those.

If I'm right , It looks like your first couple of sets are warm ups. Then I'd say this is ok. A thing I always try to keep in mind is if you limit your workout to 1 hour and keep your time between set to a min. (1 - 2 mins) It' s hard to overtrain. The change up of press and squats is a great suggestion also.

It depends on what your goals are, if your trying to put on some good mass then I'd question why your doing back and legs together.
If your trying to keep fit and maybe increase your strength then its probably ok. |
