    Question Zercher squats?

    Anyone tired these? What do you think of them?

    I've heard of them but never tried them, they are on my to do list, along with jefferson squats. It justs seems like a very awkward way to hold the bar, i doubt you would be able to pile on the weight.

    they seem like front squats? I've never done them this way.

    Jefferson Squats are great for explosive speed.

    Yeah they do, but arms are lower..I will give them a try.

    When I look at the example on the link, it doesn't seem like someone could put a lot of weight on, by the way the barbell is held by the arms?

    Anyone have any comments on this?

    I've done them. Made me feel uncomfortable, but along with front squats they really helped while I was training to go below parallel.

    It's sorta like a static lunge, except you hold a barbell in between your legs.
