Smith Bar Squats: Dangerous?

Prince noted some time ago about the arc (motion) of smith squats being unnatural, which can therefore lead to a possible injury.

Is doing Smith Bar squats something we should never, never do?

I have posted a lot of things on smith mahcine squats. Do an search using "smith machine" and "p-funk" and make that decision yourself.

Some would say use them occasionally for variation I say why waste your time when there are much better exercises you can subsititue for a squat in your workout form week to week.

I've gotten hurt EVERY time I've tried to do them Mr. Snafu! It's not always at the time or right away, but eventually something tweaks or pulls in my back whenever I do them on the Smith Machine. However I do like Lunges on the Smith.

I do Smith Squats instead of regular squats, and have for some time due to back problems I used to have.

I think they work fine as long as your form is correct. But now Im starting to get into doing reg squats.

It's really not that hard to figure out fellas. You just don't alternate from one leg to the next. All reps are done with one leg and then the next.
