I think it's great for Triceps. What are you doing for your tricep routine?
I do Chest twice a week and work my triceps once a week. Since i am doing so much pressing with my chest days, I was wondering what people thought of cutting narrow grip bench out of my tricep workout. I figure i could just throw in something else and not worry about so much pressing with my tris because i do it enough on my bench days.
So in essence my question is this: How important do you guys think narrow grip bench is?

I like close grip bench for triceps, great mass builder.
i use it occasionally for triceps. it would be a good idea to mix it in with your routine.

Well, at the suggestion of "Mudge", I am going to add "reverse" grip bench for my tri routine and see how it feels.
Weighted dips are a hassle for me cause I don't have a belt. and the bars I use are to far apart.

why not use the narrow grip on your bench day? why not very the grip between sets (ie...inside power rings, outside power rings, narrow grip, etc..)?

You could try rack presses (pressing the bar for a limited upper range). I dropped CG benches for triceps because it was hitting my chest too much doing full range CGs.

Go wide, takes practice. I liked them for a time and got up to about 90% of my flat bench.Originally posted by TriZZle305

My routine consists of Narrow grip bench, skull crushers, weighted dips (bars too far apart at my gym, but oh well), pushdowns, and kickbacks
Why not?Originally posted by TriZZle305

Doing some "air" practices, they feel like they should hit the tris pretty hard.
Better than normal CG's.
