Stretching when sore

I cant figure out if I should stretch when my muscles are sore.
Teoreticly workingout rips up muscles and rebuilding makes the bigger, so you would think it would be like a cut, if you mess(stretch) with the cut(muscles) it scares (adds scare tissue), now does that add mass? Or is just bad to do?

Ps I did a search and nothing came up

I totally agree with Flex. stretching is AWESOME for post workout DOMS. I always spend at least a lil time each day stretching.

I stretch before and after a workout, I find myself less sore the next day.

It's still a good thing if done correctly. Think of your muscles as rubber bands. If a rubber band is cold and you stretch it, what will happen? It will break. You need to warm it up BEFORE stretching it, the same applies to your muscles. You can warm them up by doing VERY light exercises or just stretching them very slowly. By stretching the muscles you're increasing blood flow to them and that will speed the healing process.

Rules? You mean we have RULES for that???

If I remember correctly, streching is good to "expel" latic acid from your muscles, the excess of this thing is what causes muscle soreness.
