nope...you can lose a ton of body fat just by manipulating your caloric intake. couting calories is a pain in the ass but probably the most effective way

Best way is a combination of both diet and cardio...plus intense strength training. You can do it without cardio but doing cardio allows you to eat a little more and get to your goal w8 a little quicker. It also helps when you need to get extremely lean...in that case diet will only do so much.

It's not necessary, but it definitely helps, also naturally I think it would be very difficult to get ripped with zero cardio.
If I had to pick weight training vs. cardio it would be weight training. |

![]() As for the cardio be very careful too much can take not only the fat but muscle as well. I was an active runner, had little fat and was all legs, now I am bodybuilding and eating as natural as possible that's my ticket to fame Take care |

It's all about balancing....too much and you will burn muscle. Do nothing and fat burning is slowed...unless you are blessed with a kick-ass metabolism.
As Prince mentioned supplements also have quite an impact on how lean you can get without cardio as well as the liklihood of burning muscle when doing cardio. Intensity and duration of your cadio also plays a role. |

Is there a certain routine that I could do. Like how many times a week should I lift weights and how many times should I do cardio.
My routine now is Mon(chest and tri), Wed(back and bi), and Fri(shoulder and legs). Each day that weight train I do 20min of cardio. Is this a good routine or should I chand it. If change, and recommendation? |

Just make sure you do your 20 mins of cardio after your lifting or you will use up 'glycogen' 'carbs in muscle' thats needed for lifitng..after you have lifted you will have used up all you 'glycogen' stores and then when u hit the cardio next you will burn 'fat'..
