Are leg presses making me go deaf?

I've been following GoPros famous P/RR/S workout program. After each set of leg presses I can hardly hear. It goes away after a while, what's the deal?

    Following GPs plan, I'm doing 3X12-15 300lbs.

I tried to concentrate on my breathing. You are supposed to breath through the entire movement, correct. Inhale in the way down, exhale going up.

I think it is something to do with your breathing, as well. Are you using very heavy weights? You may be holding your breath forcefully, as it were, at some point, and putting pressure on your inner ear. (As in -- if you ever did this silly thing when you were young -- holding your nose and closing your mouth and trying to blow out, which will also make your inner ear "pop" and lose hearing for a while.)

If you create pressure in the area by not breathing properly you can actually cause an ear infection from mucous buildup. So plugging your ears is likely the reason, by your own doing.
