    New to Forum

    Greetings!

I am new to this forum and come to you with a question. I am about 35 lbs overweight. I have been inconsistently lifting for years without much focus on nutrition. I do understand that nutrition is key and that I need to eat 5-6 meals a day high in protein but balanced with some carbs and good fats.

Now for the question...for someone who is 35 lbs overweight, can someone recommend a good training split. My current goal is weight loss.

Any recommendations of a good routine would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks for the time...

Just do a search for training splits and readup. There are tons of viable training splits, and none of them really have more of an effect on your body fat than others.

The real key to losing fat is diet and cardio. Diet is number one. You should go to the diet & nutrition forum and read the stickied threads. In terms of cardio, I would say do it 3-6 days per week. Anything is good: bicycling, jogging, swimming (The best in my opinion), elliptical, etc. Do it for at least 30 minutes not counting warm-up and cool-down. Don't expect to gain too much muscle mass while cutting though. Most people have a real hard time doing that the perfect diet.
