Hello![]()

And don't pull that "Well how do you define 'bodybuilder'" crap. You know what I'm talking about.
Sometimes I feel like I am in my own little world here on IM. Seems like the masses here are mostly interested in getting big and/or cutting for some kind of competition. I myself am an endurance athlete and have little desire to get big. I weight train to keep the LBM that I have, stay strong, and stay healthy in general. For me, weight training always takes a back seat to bike riding.
So I am wondering who else here can relate to this.

See, I knew I was the only non-bodybuilder here.![]()
I'm that same as you IAB. I have no desire to get big ... cut ... get bigger ... cut again. That takes way too much discipline.I lift weights for the sole purpose of keeping the love handles away. I add in a little cardio (sports, biking, running ... ) to keep things in tact.
Now rollin' with the Raider
Not a bodybuilder, Im performance only. I do endurance and strength routines for free fighting. Lotta plyometrics. But you're gonna build some muscle and get called a bodybuilder regardless. Still...it wouldnt bother me a bit if I looked like Dr. Chiro. So long as I didnt lose speed that is.

Someday....I will be like you....
I'm a tennis player first... I'm interested in being fast and having good recovery... also strength is nice... but I'm not at all interested in having traps that touch my ears or wings to fly... the type of body I strive for is still considered "skinny" and "not buff" by many men and women on this site... however... we're all different and I can appreciate everyone's own accomplishments here...
In my opinion IAB... we still wanna have nice looking bodies... it's just not our top priority...
Are you kidding me????

i doubt you're the only one..I'm sure there are those on here just trying to lose weight and get into shape. perhaps they're just trying to absorb all of the material and do not post as much.
I'm pretty much just a cutter for now..probably for at least a couple more months. it's all about the HIIT, watching what i eat, EC stack, and lifting for me.
triathlete here. stonger = faster. I'm big enuff. i would like to add 3 pounds of LBM to get to 200 pounds. after that, maintain![]()

Glad to see I am not alone here. The board certainly does seem to be dominated by bodybuilders most of the time.
i'm just a wannabe.![]()

I want to get big, but not massive. Although weight training is one of my top priorities, health is my top priority. That is why I do a couple of days of cardio each week even while I'm bulking.
Also, what is cutting? I'm bulking until I'm slightly bigger than I want to be so I only have to cut once.![]()

I wouldn't consider myself a bodybuilder, but I appreciate the sport and adopt some of the techniques they use to achieve a body that I can be proud of...see your not alone
i don't compete, but train hard and eat right. i don't think that would classify me as a bodybuilder/ holla
I am w/ nikegirl! I am a wannabe for right now! But I defintily want to add more muscle!

Nice replies!
What's up, Dero!?
I definitely consider myself a "bodybuilder". I dont know that I would ever compete (not that I could at this point anyway), but I'm definitely in it primarily for appearance. Health and well-being is a huge priority, too, but aesthetics is first.
But when you disarm them, you at once offend them by showing that you distrust them, either for cowardice or for want of loyalty, and either of these opinions breeds hatred against you.

I'm not a bodybuilder either.
Just trying to build strength to improve on fighting skills and to help move me into the next weight group.
Majority of my training consists of flexibility, speed and cardio although after next fight (May 29th) i'll be cutting down on cardio and increasing strength training in the hopes of gaining some mass.
Will start journal soon.
Gallery pics on the way.
Soon to be elite member.
Best wishes
Dave
I lift weights, because it helps me cope. If I happen to build a mass of muscles in the process, then so be it.
