IMO it is THE BEST and most benficial sort of cardio that there is!!! (that, and sprints which is alike)

HIIT has been shown in scientific studies to burn fat up tp 50% more efficiently than traditional cardio. Not only does HIIT burn calories but it speeds up your metabolism for quite some time after your work-out.

I think HIIT works much better than traditional cardio, but is hard as hell to do!!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain...

It works better, but it is damned hard. 10 minutes into it I'm already huffing. After 20 minutes I'm done with.
The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

I think HIIT and Max-OT cardio are by far the best ways to accelerate fat loss...

Personally I think it's much better than regular cardio. I'm having good results with it.

I do a lot of 20 second sprints mixed with 2mins jogging & 1min heavy walking after each sprint & repeat the cycle. My sprints are at least at 9 on the treadmill speed & my jogging at 6.0 & heavy walking at 4.0.

what really works well is put it at full incline and do intervals of that, you won't be able to sprrint as much but you will be tired as hell and your calves will be burnin', i go with sprints at 7.5-8.0 for 30 seconds then walk at 3.0 for 45 seconds

No kidding. I usually don't do it that. I like to get the full sprinting effect on a flat treadmill.

I sure wish I could do that, but there aren't any beaches in crapy, cold Montreal. It's only now at the beginning of May starting to get nice outside, & today's a crapy day.
