    Arnolds?

I recently got tired of doing military press and switched over to Arnolds, do you think they can adequately substitute??

I don't touch them since I've had shoulder problems, but I definitely prefer standard DB shoulder press to BB military press.

I like DB military press so I usually keep that as a core exercise on shoulder days, but just a little while ago I substituted the Arnold Press in for it and it seemed pretty effective...I'd suggest trying it for a littel while and see of you like it/get results from it

Speaking as a fellow reptile... ...I think Arnold Presses are GREAT! Just be sure to warm up your shoulders VERY well before hand.

I dont really like the idea of whacking off when I have 100 pound dumbells in my hand, I think just pressing them is better without the twisty nonsense. And that you should not go so deeply anyway otherwise you risk rotator injury.

I go just below parallel, not much further. I dont go all the way down with my elbows hitting my sides anymore.

The "whacking off" motion is what makes it fun! Otherwise its just boring old presses. Besides, you (supposedly) involve more muscles this way.

Anyway, thanks for all the input people (and reptile ), now I'm gonna go whack off....I mean work my shoulders.
