Deadlifts are good ones, or weighted back extensions on a roman chair

Deadlifts are excellent as previous posters have said. If you aren't doing squats, then consider that. The lower back is necessary for stabilization during a barbell squat, and it gets used quite heavily. Also, straight-legged deadlifts and good morning are very good.

They are, but you can use the leg exercises I mentioned to add a little extra lower back work on leg day. It's just like how deadlifts are mainly for you back, but they certainly hit up the quads pretty good too.

Dont underestimate the importance of floor exercises for the lower back. They are great for a warmup and can prevent injury. Add some heavy ankle weights and they can be a body shaper as well. I wouldnt do any standard lift routines for lower back unless I did my floor exercises first...............take care................Rich
