I prefer running outside. Running on a treadmill just feels unnatural to me. I think it's personal preference; I can't see one being much better than the other.
have a track at my uni, wondering if it's better to do one or the other for a cutting program cardio.....

running on a treadmill is a joke compared to running on a track...running on the track is far superior for increasing your VO2Max and for fat loss
don't run to far. I wouldn't do more than 1-2 miles at a good clip, maybe 2-3x a week. try to run father in a given amount of time vs running a longer distance
I train differently than most, my beef is with gravity the weights on the bar are just the medium...Thanks to Wall Street your slice of the American Pie has been reduced to a crumb.
I stand corrected.Originally posted by LAM

usually on a treadmill i run a mile, walk 3 minutes, run a mile walk 3 minutes, run a mile, cool down for 5-7 minutes or so, running at 6mph. Running this fast this far on a track is too much for max fat loss? What would a good distance be?

I'd love it if I could run on a track everyday, but with factors like weather, time, and light, the best I can do is the treadmill at the gym. It's ok..weight training, HIIT, diet, and exercise is all contributing to fat loss![]()
