i was benching a few days ago, goin up on my 6th rep(usually do 8-failure) when all of a sudden i felt... well, it felt like my shoulder blade pushed through the muscle and hit the bench, OUCH! i put the bar back on the bench and waited a while till i felt better, went for it again and got to 3 and felt the bone push through the muscle and hit the bench again, kinda learned my lesson the 2nd time so i stopped, but when i felt my back there was a small bump there! now 3 days later theres a bruise there! i'm not to sure what happend but from the way it felt i thought my blade ripped through my latsbut if that happend i think it would hurt more, the pain was gone pretty quick and i kinda forgot about it the next day so it couldnt have been to seriouse but it did kinda scare me, i was woundering if this ever happend to anybody before or if anyone could tell me what might have happend?
it doesnt hurt AT ALL today but i still think i'm gonna stay away from my bench at least till the bruise goes away

Sounds like your form is off, they should not be sticking out at all. I have two articles linked in my signature on technique.
