    Smile newbie to working out

    hey there everybody, im new here, ill just get to the point.
    Im a 17 year old male, about 176cm tall, weigh 80kg, fairly slim, medium build, ive got a low end bench press at home and dumb bells, i havent really worked out seriously before, but i want to get into it now and im fairly lost on "how to train", i dont want to be a serious body builder, just want to tone up and have a nice looking body (abs and nice pecks), could somebody direct me into some guide into "how to train"?

    That is a pretty broad question.

    You can take a look at the routine on the main site to get some ideas, then maybe ask more specific questions.

    Ok, that is a tall order. It is very hard to teach someone to do these movements over the computer. My suggestion to you is to purchase a good book on bodybuilding basics. This will show you with pictures how to perform the exercises as well as explain what each is for and how to put it in a routine. It will teach you about proper diet as well. This is how many get started.

    Arnold's book: The Education of a Bodybuilder, would be a good pick...but if you go to a book store, you will find many excellent choices.
